Elders and Family,
I hope you’re having a nice week. We have a great service opportunity at the Draper Temple on Friday night to clean it. We’ll meet at my home at 9:30 PM and then carpool out to the temple together. We would really appreciate your service. We have been asked to have 25 endowed members attend. Please let me know if you would be willing to do this. I would certainly appreciate it!
In our Stake Priesthood Meeting we, as a priesthood body, were challenged to read The Book of Mormon by July 13th alongside the young men in the stake as they prepare for Camp Helaman. Please take note of this challenge!

Upcoming Events and Service Projects
-March 12th will be the Blood Drive at the Stake Center. Please sign up on the sign up sheets or call Tex Casto.
-March 12th is the Draper Temple Cleaning Service Project. It starts at 10:00 PM and goes until Midnight. You need to be a endowed and current temple recommend holder to participate. Please speak with Doug Minnick about signing up for this! We will meet at 9:30 PM at my home to carpool over to the service temple. This really is very fun to do!
-March 13th there is a Baptisms for the Dead service assignment at the Draper Temple for the Youth. If you have family names that they could complete please get them to Sister Amber Hansen or Brother Joe Newman. Thanks!
-May 15th is a Day of Celebration sponsored by our Stake. We will be commerating and celebrating the railroad that went through our area with the granate rocks that built the Salt Lake Temple. It will be filled with activities, breakfast, a parade for the young kids (to dress up like pioneers and or railway men), and also we will be building humanitarian kits for those that stand in need. Our ward has a specific assignment to collect hand towels. These can be brought to me or to the Tello’s house. We need 500 of them donated for the whole ward. Please if you wouldn’t mind that would be amazing!
-EQ Temple Nights We will continue to have them once monthly. Please note these dates. We will do as many ordiances as we can with the idea in mind to do family names and disperse the quorum doing ordnances throughout the temple—including baptisms, initiatory, endowments, and sealings. Please plan to attend with you and your children that can go. If you can let me know in advance if you and your family are going I will have reservations made for all of you and even have plenty of family file names that you can do while there. Please arrive by 6:30 PM at the Draper Temple as the sessions would start at 7:00 PM. Here are the dates:
-April 29th 7:00 PM
-May 19th Ward Temple Night, 8:20 PM Endowment Session, must arrive by 7:45 PM. (Tentative)
-May 20th 7:00 PM
2010 EQ Family Focus: This year the Elders Quorum Presidency will be emphasizing Family Home Evening, Fathers Interviews, and Family Councils. We will be having some activities and visits that center around these with you and your family. I’d like to know if you and your family have the Church’s Family Home Evening Manual? Please let me know. I may just grab some for our quorum to give out. Here is a good site for you to review for FHE suggestions:
