Elders and family,
Reminder: Stake Conference is on Sunday at 10 AM at the Stake Center. Come one, come all! Please make sure to invite your neighbors.
We’ve got some fun-ness coming round the corner with EQ Temple Night, RS Family History Workshop, the Trunk or Treat and Spook Alley, announcing a soon to be National Dog Champion Holly and her dog Roxy, the last week of volleyball, and some additions on Fun and Free Round the City. Please enjoy below! I’ve added two sections as well—Ward Members Blogs and Missionary Addresses. Hopefully they’ll be good additions to the bulletin.
Also Brother Karl Williams’s brother, Kent Williams, passed away last week. The funeral is tomorrow at the ward house starting at Noon. The Elders have the assignment for the set up and take down of the chairs. We’ll be setting up at 7 AM. Take down we’ll discuss…Likely after 5 PM…. Here is a link to the obituary:

- RS Enrichment Night—Family History Fair on October 15th
-EQ Temple Night October 22nd – We’ll be making assignments to do certain ordinances (Sealings, Initiatory, Endowments, Baptisms) rotating through the quorum membership. The goal will also to be to work in doing Family History work of our own and taking those names as we progress with this. This will be a fun time every month for us to get out to the temple together—and a good excuse to go, right. Currently I have a Sealing sessions reserved through November. Future dates will be—November 17th.

(Shannon Melchior recommended these… Thanks Shannon!)
-Which Witch Scavenger Hunt at Gardner Village (go to their website and print out the page or go to Naborhood Bakery while there)
runs through 10/31 (and get a free sample of fudge at Sweet Afton's anytime) They have all kinds of Halloween stuff going on.
-Engh Gardens on 7th East and about 8200 S has a free little hay maze with pumpkins and blow-up decorations and stuff with a pirate ship. Good for kids under 4 feet tall.
Here are some that cost but are recommended:
-Halloween on the Farm at Wheeler Farm $4 to pick your own pumpkin, $3 for a corn and hay maze, $1.50 for a tractor ride (as usual) or $7 for all activities. From 10-8 M-Th and 10-9 F-Sat. I called them because their website was lacking....
-This is the Place has Haunted Village for $15 (not recommended for under 12) all month, and Little Haunts on 10/24 and 10/31 for $6 ages 3-11 and $8 for 12 and up. Bring youngsters in costume for trick-or-treating, plus games, wagon rides, all that stuff. Looks fun. www.thisistheplace.org
-Hogle Zoo has a few things going on this month with admission. I know of some people in our ward who have access to a group pass from work and can get a big group in (they took 17 at once without a problem...) But we need to organize it and keep it a little smaller. Let me know if anyone is interested.
Ward Members Blogs (Let me know if you’d like to add yours and I’ll drop it in!)
-Just to let you know this email only goes to the Elders, their spouses, and the ward leadership…
