Elders and family,
I trust you all enjoyed our excellent Regional Stake Conference that we had. Elder Costa (not Hales) requested that we review this talk in a family night from President Ezra Taft Benson. Make sure you do it—you’ll obviously be blessed ;) ‘Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet’
Thursday night we have EQ Temple Night at the Draper Temple. We’ll be arriving around 6:30 to go to do an Endowment Session or to do Sealings. Please let me know if you can attend.

-EQ Temple Night October 22nd – We’ll be making assignments to do certain ordinances (Sealings, Initiatory, Endowments, Baptisms) rotating through the quorum membership. Future dates will be—November 17th.

-Which Witch Scavenger Hunt at Gardner Village (go to their website and print out the page or go to Naborhood Bakery while there)
runs through 10/31 (and get a free sample of fudge at Sweet Afton's anytime) They have all kinds of Halloween stuff going on.
-Engh Gardens on 7th East and about 8200 S has a free little hay maze with pumpkins and blow-up decorations and stuff with a pirate ship. Good for kids under 4 feet tall.
Here are some that cost but are recommended:
-Halloween on the Farm at Wheeler Farm $4 to pick your own pumpkin, $3 for a corn and hay maze, $1.50 for a tractor ride (as usual) or $7 for all activities. From 10-8 M-Th and 10-9 F-Sat. I called them because their website was lacking....
-This is the Place has Haunted Village for $15 (not recommended for under 12) all month, and Little Haunts on 10/24 and 10/31 for $6 ages 3-11 and $8 for 12 and up. Bring youngsters in costume for trick-or-treating, plus games, wagon rides, all that stuff. Looks fun. www.thisistheplace.org
-Hogle Zoo has a few things going on this month with admission. I know of some people in our ward who have access to a group pass from work and can get a big group in (they took 17 at once without a problem...) But we need to organize it and keep it a little smaller. Let me know if anyone is interested.
